connecting rods for to 30 need tab washers to lock the nuts
they look like a flat washer has 5 or 6 tabs on outside, you bend couple down against nut and couple up against rod cap. stops nut from vibrating loose.

thank-you

ps have searched auto parts junk yards, small engine shops, hardware store. none found.

I agree with rustred, don't use them.

Better to not reuse the old ones. A poorly fitting lock tab is prone to come out from under the nut, causing more problems than it could ever prevent!

They were a hold over from the early days, found to be unnecessary and troublesome. Kinda like me... LOL

they are available from Agco - about $5 each as I recall - blue locktite is a reasonable alternative - are you a purist?

Agco did not have what I was looking for.
I planned on using the blue locktite anyways with the washers but I guess ok without the washers.

Thanks everyone
Hey steve are you in ny state my local advance store if so howdy.

I went with new ARP nuts and blue loctite. Once you loctite and torque it would take a heck of an issue to loosen those nuts. Heck without loctite and proper torque on a fastener it shouldn't come loose.
