Hello everyone. I am excited as I just managed to log in here for the first time in probably 5 years. Different things such as crashing and replacing computers, forgetting names and passwords and such.... Several years ago I started overhauling my TO 35 engine, then got sidetracked by life things that I had little control over. Forward to last fall, I got back on it....put in new liners w/pistons and rings, rod bearings, mains and reconditioned the oil pump. I had the head completely redone with machine work, all new valves and springs. The bottom end was together except for the pan. The new head was just sitting on the block, with no bolts(nuts) and no spark plugs, and the hood closed down. Then on Oct 10th came Hurricane Michael. I had not worried much about the old tractor. It was buried under my lean-to type workshop. In early May this year I finally got enough of the shop debris cleaned up that I could re frame and re roof it. With that being done , and in bad need of a tractor, I dove into it. The first thing I found was the head rusted up badly. Not too surprising since the valve cover was not in place. Then I lifted it off and saw rusty chambers. I was thinking surface rust, but no, the valve seats were rusty and leaked. So now $100. later the head is ready again. Three of the new cyl liners had water damage. It was not too bad. I have honed them pretty clean. There is staining and a few small pits that I really don't think will hurt. All this from water entering through 4 spark plug holes. Hard to believe. The bottom of the crankcase was not rusty, but was caked up with dried grass, leaves and everything else imaginable. So I had to take it all apart again and clean and put back together. I still have to put the head on, the add all the outside parts. Intake, carb, exhaust, valve cover, rad and such. All this just to kinda re introduce myself here and hope that you all will wish me luck on this running when I get it finished, lol. Sorry it was so long winded. Ron
