Link rocker bushings

Ferguson TO35. I want to separate the clevis from the Link Rocker, do I have to 'drive' the Rocker Link Bushings from the Clevis? How is this best done? Do you have to heat the assembly?
 
I just went and looked at my 35, yes you could try to drive them out or drill them out and buy new replacements here on the parts site under mf35 hydraulic parts. Not very expensive and I think time is money so take less time and drill them with a step drill.
 
I used a press and pressed them out. They are splined, so you don't want to drill. No heat required unless they are really rusty. I sandblasted them prior.
 
Yeah - you have to press from the inside to the outside. It's not that hard. When you're pressing the new ones in, try to line up the splines.....
 
This is turning into a real project. I've use a can of rust buster on it, beat it with a hammer, made a bushing puller with a long bolt and tried pulling it out, I've cussed at it, and so far no luck. I hate to take the lift clevis out, but that looks to be next.... ugh.
 
Depends (of course!). If you're doing it on the tractor, I'm guessing you have two options. If you use a hammer to seat them, the clevis must be securely anchored so you don't damage anything. A better option might be using a large C-clamp to squeeze them in. This seems like a better choice, assuming you have a large enough C-clamp. You'd want to make sure the splines are clear of rust. As an added help, put the bushings in the freezer for an hour or so to shrink them slightly and heat the clevis if possible to expand it.

The best method is clevis removal from the tractor, but that would mean additional headaches.
