rubber fuel line...

Are you asking about a tractor with gravity flow?

Sure, just slip in a piece of tubing the same OD as the ID of the hose, or use a metal barb connector, put on a couple of clamps.

But I still don't like the idea of rubber hose for fuel line though. The quality of the hose and the reaction with ethanol will eventually cause trouble. Nothing beats the original steel line. Easy to make with brake line with the ends already flared on. A tank of gasoline suspended over a hot engine is not a place to be taking any chances!

If it's a high pressure system, as in fuel injection, best replace the line assembly for safety sake. Those are more than just rubber hose.
