So I notice my TEA 20 is not charging. I removed battery to charge and saw that the unit under the battery (regulator?) had 4 wires coming out and one (second from the right/yellow) was not in the back of the unit. not sure how it connects in the unit are if that is the problem. This yellow wire goes to the dashboard amperes device. all suggestions welcome

Yes, that wire needs to be connected to the regulator.

Depending on how it's labeled, it will go to the "A" or "BAT" terminal.

Be careful not to let the wire touch ground, it is hot from the battery.

The battery is disconnected. How do I reattach? It appears that the other wires going to the regulator are short and will not let me pull the unit all the way out. I guess I would need to disconnect them from where ever they go to to pull unit out. I do not want to do unnecessary stuff if I do not need to.

Thanks for the info. I have a 12 volt system though. Just want to know how to take apart the regulator. Do not want to do any unnecessary tinkering.
