oil leak

My running TO 30 is dripping transmission oil out the cotter key hole below the clutch. I read somewhere to pull the bottom bolt out of the inspection cover and fill until it runs out which I did. The puddle just keeps getting bigger and it no longer registers on dip stick. Should I just forget about it and run it?
 
Pulling the lower bolt keeps the oil level from constantly riding high and leaking past axle seals onto the brakes. Sure Seals also fix that problem. You should keep some oil on that stick when using it. If the puddle develops too fast, time to split the tractor and fix it.
 
So far no leaks in brakes. I haven't done much more than ran it up and down the road so far. We got the plow dug out right before all the snow and winter showed up. I may run it some and see how bad it is. I put the shaft seal in the one we got tore apart and I kind of need to get it rolling so I have stands to split another.

I used a rolling floor jack and a single bottle jack.
Wedges in the front axle to keep the front from tipping and slide the rear back.
3/8x16 x 4 inches for guide pins to slide it together and engage the PTO to turn it if needed for alignment.
A second person for hood installation is nice.

hey, just curious, not trying to hi jack the thread, where did you put the bottle jack to support the engine? under the oil pan?

We out a piece of 1/2 inch plate wider than oil pan and used a floor jack. that way you can roll the front half away.
 
You know stands, tall chunks of pin oak what ever is handy.
It is coming out of the transmission not the rear main seal.
 

TomH has a valid point , it might not be transmission oil at all .
Is the oil black ? If so it might very well be leaking from the rear engine crank seal .
