TO20 carburetor

I was given a TO20 tractor for free just to remove it. It's in overall good condition except for a little surface rust, but the main problem is that the carburetor is missing completely, how do I determine what carburetor goes on the tractor? The serial number is 15549.
 
I would go with a rebuilt MS over a new made in China aftermarket.

Any of them will work, the differences will be in the linkage.

Being you don't have the original, you may need to find or make the necessary governor linkage. I believe it would have originally had a 1/4 28 threaded rod and a ball/socket rod clevis through a hole in the throttle shaft link.

Be sure the fuel supply is fresh and clean. If the tank is contaminated with rust and water, the carb will be fouled with dirty gas and will need to come apart and be cleaned. Best to have the sediment bowl screen in place and clean. Inline filters can be troublesome with a gravity system.
Rebuilt Carb
 
It still has the throttle and governor linkage I believe the mounting holes were about 2 3/8" center to center for the carb, the fuel line has a 90 at the end with a screen on it....?
 
Screen is found on all of them that vintage. I believe the linkage on the carb is different Ford to Ferguson. Bolt holes/mount gasket will be the same. Same fuel line. It's either too late or way to early to think much more. You might a used carb on flebay. Might be good if seller says it came off a running tractor. Still might get an unknown.
 
The Marvel Shebler carbs are easy to work on, and that's probably what was on the tractor. As noted below, the originals are preferred
over modern look-alikes. However, if you find an original you probably will need to purchase an overhaul kit as well.
 
There is one on eBay right now. Look under Ferguson to20 then choose used. First item. Rebuild kit available here and we can help with the specs
when your ready to rebuild
