Raise 3pt with tractor off TO-35

I'm trying to tow a non running Ferguson TO35 to my house. The 3pt hitch is all the way down close to the ground. Is there any way to raise it manually with the tractor off? I'm worried about snagging the hitch on frozen dirt while I'm pulling it through the field to the road. I actually have to pull it backwards to get it turned around and it's on a hill.

Thanks!

I know this works on a TE20 and can't see why it wouldn't on a 35 .

Take a spanner or wrench and fit it tightly to the pto shaft with the ' handle 'off to the clearest area there is , crank it back and forth quickly as if you were operating a hand brake lever . This will reverse operate the pump and the lift will rise very slowly . You will get some indication that it is working when the back and forth motion becomes harder . You can reach the normal maximum lift height in this way even with an implement attached .

just turn the PTO shaft any time the shaft is turning it turns the pump (make sure sure the control leaver on the right side is up all the way and the PTO leaver on the lower left is NOT in gear or you will not be able to turn the pto shaft

I actually found a very similar video on
you tube and tried it, but it didn't work.
I could turn the PTO back and forth but
the hitch did not move. To be sure, I
pushed the lever on the right all the way
back, which is labeled in the down
position. That didn't work. Then I pushed
the lever all the way down, and that
didn't work either. Again the PTO spins,
but doesn't do anything. The transmission
oil does register low on the dipstick.
Should I try filling it up? I am going to
change out the oil so I was hoping I
didn't have to put new oil in just to
drain it out.
There is a small lever next to the one on
the right...what is it for? Does it
controll the speed at which the hitch
raises?

Forgive me, I'm very new to these
Ferguson and still learning.

Thanks

They should just lift straight up. If not disconnect the lift arms by removing the bolts or pins located in the middle of the arms and tie them out of the eat
with rope or bungee. You should be good then.

On a 35 dual clutch the pedal needs held completely down, PTO shift lever in ENGINE drive, THEN turning the PTO will lift the three point. Shaft can be turned either way to raise the arms with the position lever in the up location. Arms will then need blocked or chained as they WILL settle over time.

Just lift them up by hand ( there should be no more resistance than just their own weight) and tie them off to the pin where the top link attaches.

I?ve been thinking about this since reading the first post. There is a chance that the internal piston that brings the arms up may be frozen, rusted in
place. Disconnect the lift arms from the shoulders and then secure them out of the way to tow the tractor home. I just had the same problem with a 35
this summer, which made me think about your problem. Once home you will need to remove the top cover, that?s the whole thing under the seat and
then work the piston out. Please get a manual and parts book so all of this will make sense and also make the job easier.

On a good note, these really are excellent tractors and fairly easy to work on.

3 points are power up gravity down so one can lift them by hand. As for pulling it backwards put a 3 point draw bar on it and pull it that way and the 3 point arms will lift by pulling it
