1949 TEA20 L/H LOWER LINK PLATE GASKET?

Hi all,

So I have a leak (see pic) coming from the lower left link plate on my TEA20. From what I can tell after doing some googling there should be a gasket here but there doesn't appear to be one on my tractor and hence possibly the leak here.

Can anyone elaborate if this is correct?

The only gasket I can find that looks remotely like the right shape is for the Ford 9N tractor. Anyone know if they used the same part in this instance?

I will make one if I have to but i'd prefer to buy one if its cheap enough.

Cheers,

Ferg

Thanks Tom. I think I may just make one as post to Australia is much more than the gasket itself.

On another note.

What is the easiest way to access the pivot retaining nut on the inside? I was thinking of removing the PTO shaft and seeing if I can get my hand and a spanner in that way. If that fails will I need to remove the left hand wheel/axle assembly?

I have already drained all the hydraulic fluid.

Cheers, Ferg

Do a search again, Wells equipment comes up in Tennessee and put the number in their search. They have 6 in stock. Not sure on how to get at nut
inside. You may have to pull off the housing

I have just joined, specifically to see if anyone else had this problem and could help.
My 1952 TEA 20 has the same leak. I can t figure out how to remove the plate (tomrep, ave the gasket behind it). The mounting pin for the 3PL link is actually a stud according to my manual, but won t undo easily (tried a pipe wrench - I know that s a bit rough, but it is worn and really needs replacing) and I don t want to force it in case something breaks!
What puzzles me is that when I remove the nut from the rear end of that plate, the whole assembly - plate and stud - can be wobbled a bit. Any advice on how to proceed?
