This tractor is a brute and pulls better than any ford I have had but
I was easing across the field today and it just stopped. Quick check reveled no fire in the wire. I took the distributor cap off thinking it was probably moisture but no. There is fire to the points, I bridged them with a screw driver but nothing firing the plugs. Can you guys help out a city boy that just loves his old HF?
Thank you

Did you look for spark in the points while turning it over? Had a similar problem years ago, spark across point bt the points were bad. A quick run
through with Emory cloth brought her back to life.

As was mentioned below as well as the possibility of a shorted rotor. if you have fire at the points while cranking, drop a rotor and see if
the fire gets out the plug wires. That '30 will outdo the Ford 9,2,8N and a few others. However, I am running a Ford 871 Demonstrator, with a
few other machines, and the HP is fun. I sold my '30 with a Howard and tiller. It did have grunt compared to the smaller machines. Go another
10 HP up n power and the fun gets better.
