I should know this ??

if a TO-35 or MF-35 has a prefix of SGM then that indicates two stage clutch and live hyd. ???

non SGM machines do not have 2 stage clutch and live hyd ?

so that would mean non SGM 35's have to have the clutch out for the hyd. to work ?

thanks.

A tractor with single stage clutch will have SGF tag. S-Standard/Utility---G-Gas---F-Single Stage. M is for Two stage. If tag starts with C it's High Crop High Arch--Starts with T it a single wheel Row Crop--R then it's a Row Crop two wheel. There is a few out there that starts with H--then it's a High Altitude Gas.

Just the second stage PTO clutch needs engaged for the hydraulic pump and PTO to work. First stage can be used for speed/direction changes as normal and keep the hydraulics working, although they will stop if pedal is pushed all the way down, releasing the second stage clutch.
