To35 starter help

So I guess my starter has had it. I was gonna take it to the shop to get it rebuilt but while browsing around on here it sounds like these starters are not that bad to work on. When I first turned the key it didn't do nothing no sound our nothing. Then I tapped the starter and it finally tried to start but it sounded horrible and acted like it barley had any power. Definitely not enough to start it just enough to slowly turn it over a couple times and the sound it makes Durning all that sounds like a bunch of loose change in there being spun around. Do any of you guys on here might have a suggestion on what it could be? Thanks in advance

It's making that "broke" sound.
Better take it apart and see what is grinding. Maybe the windings are shot or the bushings is dead.

Is it hard to replace any of that would I be better off taking It to a shop or just replacing the broken parts I'm pretty handy but I've never took a starter apart

Well, if your taking it to a rebuild shop, they have to take it apart also, NO? So, this way you saved them some effort.
Triodiode is a seller on Ebay who has the parts you need to rebuild it. If you find a bad armature, a new starter is in order.
