Air Inlet Scoop

I am in need of a air inlet scoop (#180 362 M1) for my MF TO-35 with Z134 engine. Many of the various parts companies, including this one, carry this item. This is a rubber "L" shaped piece that goes from the top of the oil bath air-cleaner housing to the back of the instrument panel. The dimensions given are about 1.5" for the air cleaner end, and 3" to be inserted into the instrument panel. Each supplier indicates the larger end is 3" diameter, but the hole in the instrument panel is not circular, it is oval. It measures 3" high and 3.5" wide. My question: has anyone purchase one of these air scoops and it fit a TO-35 or similar tractor with the oval hole. Any help would be appreciated.

I bought one and it fit properly on my to35. I think they are large enough to accommodate the oval hole.

Thanks for the information. :)

I have never really understood the purpose of that piece on a 35. On a TO30 I see that it allows air to be pulled in through the screen mesh on the dash, so there is another layer of "filter". But on a 35 it just allows air to be sucked in from the dash cavity. I don't really see the point of it. Maybe someone can educate me on this.

My best guess is that to get in the inlet the dust would have to be sucked up under the dash. That would eliminate some of the dust that's blowing around.
