TO35 oil pan removal

I have a TO20 in which the oil pan is light gauge and easy to remove. The oil pan on my TO35 is heavy cast, bolts to the transmission, engine and steering front end casting. Obviously, much more complicated. So if I want to pull this to clean it out, what am I getting into?

loosen all the bolts holding the front axle assembly to the engine and you should have no problem dropping and replacing the oil pan - use a floor jack to support the pan before you remove the last two bolts -

I'd leave the tractor support itself and back the nuts off the big bolts a few turns - you can also block under the bell housing - I'm not sure where the balance point is on these tractors, but that would remove most/all the weight from the front axle -

No extra support is needed, it's not that heavy. Remove the two long pan bolts, then loosen the front casting bolts 11/2 turns each is enough. There should then be a gap at the lower front of the pan. Remove the rear horizontal pan bolts, then all the vertical bolts to drop the pan. When going back up start all the vertical bolts, then the rear horizontal bolts and just get them snug to hold the pan rearward. Now tighten all the vertical bolts, then the rear bolts, then finish with all the front casting bolts.

Thanks. Sounds good. Plan to drop it to clean out any sludge. Oil pressure is about 25. But the previous owner never changed oil for 18 years. A little gunk in the valve cover area. Needed a new gasket there.
