Hi all,
Are the flywheels interchangeable on the TEA's 28 and the 24? Like, will a 12v starter start a 24's flywheel?
Some of the teeth are missing on the 28's flywheel, and I may need to replace it.
Thanks!

Almost all ring gears on flywheel can be replaced. One just drives or cuts the old one off then put the flywheel in the freezer and the ring gear in the oven. Last one I did I laid the flywheel on top of the freezer and then took pliers and grabs the hot ring gear and drop it on. Let it cool and it was ready for the tractor

They are the same , but as I posted before the champher or bevel on the teeth are on the opposite sides to each other . So If fitting a ring gear to a flywheel for operation by a[b:054f9cb55b] 12 volt starter [/b:054f9cb55b]the bevel must be facing the starter motor .

TEA-20 Made in England:

TEA-20's have DRILLED 1/4" holes on the Forward Side of the Flywheel, in various locations, to aid in the timing of the Ignition system depending on the type of Distributor as well as other engineered design.
