Would like to know if any members on the forum have build a slide hammer type puller to remove the axles on a 1948 TE 20

Have an OTC slide hammer which I have used to remove the axle shafts on a 1966 ford F100 I used to have.

Howdy! Caught you up here. That OTC slider . . .If the slots are large enough to go over the studs, you could work them one at a time.
You might also be able to locate a curved piece with the center cut on on one side making a hook affair that could go around the stud and grab onto the lug nut. That also is a one at a time affair. Those are my best options I can think of at this time.
You keep Seattle traffic. I hope more southern people zip right through Portland on their way to see you in Seattle. I was in that traffic a year ago picking up a boat. I promise. It will be a long time before I do that again. I believe it was in Redmond and we hit the road at about 5 PM on the return trip and got to Portland about 1 AM.
I find it funny that Seattle has the Space needle and "Wanna be like Seattle, Portland" builds a $55M tram to go up to the hospital on the hill.
The space needle, I believe, is operated independently at no cost to the tax payer. The Portland trams is only costing the tax payers $5M a year. and growing. San Juans is very nice up there and I wouldn't mind a trip to the Olympic Rain Forest again some year. Especially on Hurricane Ridge when the valley below is covered in clouds.
Have fun with your nuts and shafts.

Bruce,
I intend to improvise to make some tool to remove the axles on my TE 20 should the need arise again
A grinder, welding eq, torches, drill press, should be enough tools to make something
We have lived in Seattle , Ballard, for 50 years and have become used to the traffic. Interstate 5 is still an issue
I grew up on Orcas Island. Big difference from Seattle

Bruce(OR) I want you to re-read Chris's next to last sentence. He said he grew up, what is your problem?

Compliments of Microsoft Your real estate prices have been inflated. Why Portland has gone up is probably due to the silicon forest coming back to life along with sneakers. I spent some time around Tillicum back in the 80's and was impressed with the traffic back then.
I remember pulling those axles with screwdrivers, pry bars and what not. You best friend can be a dual set of Oxy/Ace tanks. I don't run out of gas in the middle of a project. As for welding, don't forget your safety glasses and if you do get a metal chunk in the eyeball, Get your self an earth magnet and use it to pull the shard out of your eye ball. That is all the ER dept does. Ask me how i found that on out.
Fastest service at the ER in the northwest uses the word 'Chainsaw' or 'heart attack' to get you to the front of the line.
Ask me about that one too....THAT was fun.
Richard, you reading this??
hee hee
Have a good one Chris!!
