Toe in specs..?

I’m looking for the toe in specs to align the front end of my ferguson To30. I have the IT manual, but it doesn’t say what the measurement should be... hoping someone can chime in. As of now, with new front tires, it cut into my driveway as I turn hard left or right, the front tires I assume need to angle outwards out a bit? Thanks!

It's not real critical, maybe a 1/8" toe in, straight will be ok.

You can use 2 strings to align them. Turn the steering wheel lock to lock, count 1/2 the turns back to get it centered. Roll the tractor forward to settle everything in.

Tie a string to the running board, center line of the wheel. Tie the other end to a heavy movable object a few feet in front of the tractor. Pull the string tight and adjust the string until it just touches the front of the front tire. Do the same for both front wheels.

Measure the parallelism of the strings. Adjust the tie rods until the strings are parallel or slightly toed in. Try to get both front wheels straight with the centerline of the tractor. If they are off, you will loose some turning radius one way. When done, the spindle should turn against the stop dogs on both sides.

Page 4 IT manual 0-1/4? toe in. Use either string or two sticks. Toe out would drag the outside tire around the turns.

all that makes sense guys... Thanks! I'll have to reread the Manual to see where I missed the toe in to out instructions...thanks to all who replied!

I have a spinner knob on mine. I like to get it in the position I want it in, then adjust the left and right wheel to point straight forward. That way when I'm driving straight the spinner knob is in a comfortable position.

Update on my toe out/in issue...it seems I'm out of threads to adjust the toe in anymore ...it still cuts the yard up..and is toed out..what next? Tractor is toed out still quite a bit. When I replaced the drag links I counted the threads and put them back on doing that. It was toed out then too. Thanks in advance!

I guess you could cut 1/2 " off of the RH-threaded end of the drag link and tap the link deeper.
Are the radius arms bent? That can mess with the alignment.
