Tea20 Footrest bolts

Hi
Have discovered that one of the footrest bolts has sheared off at the start of the thread.
Does anyone know how much thread is on the end of the bolt as I would like to try and drill it out. I presume the bolt does not go through the casing completely.
Cheers

I had the same challenge once:

Double NUT STUD and check for depth in blind hole:

I welded a WASHER to the end of the Brocken stud, then welded a NUT to the washer and backed Brocken stud out:

Hi
Unfortunately I have nothing to weld to as it has broken off inside the bottom of the hole.
Cheers

With the attaching components that hold the radius rods in place removed, is there any Brocken STUD protruding out from the threaded bore?

Be very careful with the ezout.

It will only work if the bolt is free to turn. If it is bottomed out, rusted, or seized, no the ezout will not work and if broken off in the bolt, the problem is made worse!

If you can score a left handed drill bit, all the better. It just "mite" grab the bolt and spin it out.

Otherwise, make every effort to drill EXACTLY in the middle, and as straight as possible. If it doesn't move, the end result will be to drill the body of the bolt away and surgically tap the remaining threads out.

That is why it is so important to keep it in the center and straight.

Ok I have managed to plug to bolt hole full of wd40 rust penatrant will see what happens tomorrow will go with the left hand drill bit tomorrow after its had a good soak.

Managed to extract what was left of bolt which was only the threaded end.
Fitted new water pump as well ready for painting, then wiring to nut out.
Thanks for all the help.
