Whalen Auction

in Neapolis Ohio. They won't even work with you if you buy something that was misrepresented by the seller. BEWARE!! All you will get is bad attitiude and told off.

Be nice if you would give a little bit
more information instead of just
slamming the auction company without
explanation. Did you buy it online or
in person? How was it misreputated?

Bought it online. It was advertised a stuck. There was a hole in the block that was covered up. When I picked it up the seller let the cat out of the bag. When I called the auctioneer he told me tough luck in a very rude way.

The hole was covered up how? I would
of talked to seller and asked him if
he told the auction company there was
a hole in the block. Sounds like the
seller is just as much to blame.
Buying online site unseen is always a
gamble regardless of what someone
tells you or is in print. I never buy
online without seeing it first or
having someone look at it that I trust
otherwise I simply don't buy.

I am not so sure the auctioneer knew about it but he had a very poor way of handling it. He could have said he would talk to the seller and see what could be done instead of telling me off.

I totally agree with that. Some
business people fail to think about
repeat business. It will catch up with
them sooner or later.

(quoted from post at 15:28:25 11/30/21) Almost all auctions are As is how is,Buyer Beware. You can bet if people just drop something at an auction there is going to an issue or 5.

It wasnt a consignment sale. It was a living estate sale.

Well, there's no need to be rude and
snippy about it, or whatever. BUT, on
the other hand, its just pretty common
that auction companies represent the
seller, and not the buyer. So, if
there is a bone to pick between the
seller and the buyer, the auction
companies are going to what?? Take the
side of the seller. That's right.
Usually its printed in fine print on
sale bills that it is the
responsibility of the buyer to make
all nescisary inspections. Or
something similar to that.
