Bowman Scam - AC315 6' Blade with snap coupler

A Robert Bowman from New Mexico answered my ad looking for AC blade. Said he was on dad's sold farm near Jackpot, NV and had good one but
real estate closing required to get it moved immediately. Offered it at scrap price + freight. Danu at "Jabow Trucking" was supposed to
deliver yesterday per Bowman. Great stories on delays. Long/short, no BOL, no pics, no blade, has my transferred money. Appears I was
scammed. Be careful.

There are very few new scams in this hobby, just old ones that get used over and over. From what you told us the known red flags were there, too bad that you were not aware of them. First red flag was the deal had to done imediately, paid for and moved. Second flag was that it wasn't at his place but somewhere else. Third flag was some no name trucking hauling it. 4th red flag was give away price. Any one of those could be part of a legitimate deal but combined,,, uh scam city. I suggest that you get educated via a site search for known scams.

I don't mean to imply fault on your part here. Life should not be this way but like a lot of other things,it is what it is and we have to deal with it.

Next time, ask some very specific questions, and ask the (scammer) to provide some very specific measurements that could only be made it the unit in question ACTUALLY exists at his location. LOL!

There is a guy from CA that has contact me a few times over the years claiming to have parts I am looking for, funny thing is he can never produce pictures. He also knows just enough about this old stuff to be dangerous.

I was just contacted by that person. Said he had some engines, but couldnt take any pictures and he needed them gone now. :roll:

Did you happen to ask him for any details that might be of use to law enforcement to track him down?

Here's the number he called me from 1-925-233-9365. He said he lives in Montana and he was in Cali cleaning out his father-in-laws house.
