Owner trying to sell this IH Drill. We cant seem to find a data plate on it. Everything looks like very little use, just needs some paint nothing broken looks great, works great. No data plate, unknown model, no book/manual. Does anyone know? What should he try to sell it for?

I am pretty sure that's a No 10, the 100 was the press drill, and the 150 was the Hoe Drill, or some called it the Shovel Press Drill

Corn is generally planted with a row crop "planter". Don't know about your area but in most of the corn belt 4 row planters tend to go fairly cheap. Most serious farmers have an least a 6 or 8 row. Planting a deer food plot I presume?

To sow/plant certain crops. On the farm I grew up on in NE KS we used them mainly for wheat and oats. The row of discs you see set at a slight angle and cut a slot in the dirt. Then the seed falls down the tubes from the seed box into the slot. A metering mechanism that could be set at varying gaps and rotating speeds would determine how thick the crop was sown. General settings were by pounds of seed applied per acre. Sorry can't help with the model we had a Miinne Mo in the early years.
