Farmall Demonstrators

I have an acquaintance that has a Farmall 200 that is showing some white paint thru the red paint on it. He also says that it has a very low serial number, maybe the 1st one built. I haven"t seen this tractor, but this is likely to be correct. He doesn"t appear to want to sell this tractor, but I wonder if the manufacture dates for the early Farmall 200 matches the dates for the white demonstrators?

Adding a bit more to what Jim said, the demonstrators were made in early 1950 and the Farmall C (predecessor to the 200) was included in this program.

For what it's worth, the Farmall 200 serial numbers started with #501.

White demonstrators were made in the first quarter of 1950.

The 200 was manufactured from late 1954 through 1956.

Your friend's 200 missed the white demo program by almost 5 years. There is no way it could possibly be a white demo.

The paint might be a primer coat from a repaint. AFAIK, IH did not use primer.
