I'd like to know where the auxilliary hydraulic ports are on my 706. Thinking about a loader and don't want to tie up my remotes. Any help or pictures that could be given in response would be great.

Thanks;
Larry

Hey the 706 auxillary hydraulics are on the right side just below the gas tank and above the batteries. AT least on mine it is.

Put a hydraulic pump on your pto. Loader may not be good for tractor hydraulics

Midmount remotes were optional on 706's. If you look just above the batteries (both sides) you will see threaded ports in the cast steering column/dash support structure. The couplers threaded into these, and were supplied by steel lines run from the remote valves under the seat. The steel lines ran through the channel you see cast into the front of the rockshaft housing, directly below the front edge of the seat, then on under the platform to the couplers. These were for loaders, front mount cultivators, etc. I've seen several 706's and 806's with them, however my 706 does not have them. Of course, these would still require you to use your existing valves, but you would not have to run hoses all the way to the rear.

I have also heard of a third remote being added to an 806 (the valves will stack.) The guy had to fabricate his own handle (factory only provided for 2), and do some cutting on the LH seat support to clear the valve itself. You might be able to do something like that and use it to power a joystick type loader control.

all the hydraulics for the remotes and rockshaft cylinder are contained in the top cover for the range tranny. The only external ports are those to the remote spool block under the seat. You would have to find a way to run a hose from valve stack and back. i don't know where the ports are on the valves, but I kno that that is the only place to plumb in more valves.

My Uncles Farmall 706 has two auxilary remotes on the right side of the tractor by the battery cover,probaly for a loader. I am almost definite that it's factory,dealer, or a aftermarket option.
