international 350 changing transmission oil

I have a 350 D with a torque amplifier (TA) and a PTO. The book says the transmission takes 28 quarts. does the oil automatically flow to the TA and the PTO or do I need to change them separetly

I'm pretty sure not, but the book should indicate if it is necessary.

The TA for sure has a way for the oil to get from the transmission to the rear end. What I'm not sure about is the PTO.

the TA is oiled from the trans. The IPTO unit is seperate. If it is like my 300 there are two plugs on the left side, one for filling and one for draining. Just keep adding oil till it comes out the side fill hole. I think it is somewhere around 2 or 2 1/2 quarts.

as said above that is correct, the IPTO is a pain in the butt to fill but it takes abut 2 1/2 qts. Make sure you use IH B6 compliant HyTran.
