444 injector pump

Looking at buying a 444 with
injector pump problems. The seller
said he was bushoging and the
tractor quit. The only think that
he could find wrong was what looks
like a plug come out of the bottom
of the pump. I tried to look at a
diagram on case IH website but they
don't have it listed. Do you guys
think it could be an easy fix or
will it need an injector pump.
Thanks in advance jordan

Hi Jordan, at caseih.com search on BD-154 which is the British Diesel engine.
See: http://partstore.caseih.com/us/parts-search.html#epc::mr63304ar1274532

A couple of quick checks is the fuel getting to the injection pump? There are a couple bleed screws on the injection pump. Loosen lower bleed screw and pump hand pump on the lift pump on the right side of engine and see if fuel comes out bleed screw.
Also check the shut off control rod that a key didn't come out and is not opening the shut off lever.

I don't know where u live but most anywhere you can find a decent pump shop if not lei me know and I will fix it , not for free.

A photo, showing the location of what has allegedly fallen out, would be a GREAT help!
