while cleaning the bottom of tractor to get ready for painting found a lever in the middle of area under the power take-off drive parts catalog calls it seasonal disconnect coupling shifter my question is it something i should use and why? Thanks Bill

If you are not giong to use the PTO, I would disconnect it. Saves wear.

Mine went bad on me last summer when I was mowing hay and I had to put a hose clamp on the shaft to hold the collars together so I could get back to work. I need to put a solid collar on it before next summer.
