966 coolint filter

my 966 didnt have a coolant filter on it just got done puting one on it just put orangre antifreeze in it is there a difference in anifreze for cars and tracrors i put lifetime in it

With the longlife antifreeze, you aren't supposed to use a dca additive cartridge filter. You might as well remove that filterhead as the empty can is like 4 times more money and does nothing. Dca is for the regular old green coolant.

Unless that orange anti-freeze specifically says it is recommended for use in a wet sleeved diesel engines and will help control cavitation erosion, I would rethink the whole situation. Also, as your engine did not have a filter, you will find the filter removing a lot of crud from your engine and most likely plug the element with in a few hours, which is good to get that out of engine. Saw that many times.
