Super M trans

I have to put a couple bearings in the trans of my Super M. Would 85-140 be to heavy of a lube or should I stick with 80-90?

It really depends on the temps in which you will be operating in.

If in high ambient temps, 95F+ under high loads, I would go 85w-140.

If operating at lower loads at lower ambient temps, I would go with 80w-90.

The heavier oil may not leak quite as much as the lighter oil. But simply swapping oils between the two won't make that much difference in a leak or not.
