How rare is a 756 custom with a diesel motor?
Grandpa brought this tractor brand new and it has
been used alot but was will cared for (the tach has
rolled over 1) and has been replaced since the old
one quit five years ago. Is there a way to tighten
up the clutch with out splitting the tractor?

What do you mean by "tighten up the clutch?"

You can adjust pedal free play, but that's about it. If it feels like it's slipping or something like that it's shot and needs to be replaced, which means splitting the tractor.
