one way hydraulics on a 656

Is there a way to get 1-way hydraulics out of a 656 remote? On my IH 450 I can select 2-way or one-way for my remote hook up. I have an old dump wagon that requires one-way pressure.

Hook it up. Set the spool stop so the valve can go into float position so you won't be blowing the relief valve when it goes down.

I used a one way cylinder on a 4 row corn planter, pulled it with my 856. Didn't have to do anything special to the tractor system. Simply plugged that single hose into just one of the 2 remote outlets. If the lever worked backwards, pull the hose out of that port and plug it into the other one.

We used a one way on JD96 combine on thousands of acres never had a problem. Used a 706 JH or a 1066 IH tractor.

Yup, on your 656, there should be a notch past "down" on your hydraulic remotes. That's "float" which is what you should use to lower a one-way cylinder.

It's ok to squeal the relief valve a little bit here and there, if you happen to pause in "down" by mistake, or need to make fine adjustments.
