Throwout bearing on Cub question

Which side of the bearing goes forward? The side where the outside housing is all that is sticking out, or the side where the inside housing sticks out around 1/4in??

The graphite part should be facing forward, toward the engine. It's the smaller around part that protrudes from the housing.

That's the way I got it To adjust the yoke, should I readjust the clutch pedal adjust it all the way down the slot, and hold the pedal back while resetting the yoke?

adjust fingers of clutch so they clear back of pressure pate by 1 1/4 inch, then adjust pedal for 1 inch of travel before hitting fingers. fingers MUST be even, and if bearing was aftermarket, soak it in oil a couple days before installing. it is lubed by oil separating from wax in the grease, and soaking into graphite from the back. use cheap grease.

BTW, ALL Cubs came with the graphite bearing from the factory.

There are cheap roller style bearings on the market, but they generally don't hold up.
