Cub Touch Control

I am doing some repairs on my cub that were long overdue. My touch control was leaking oil and I fixed that now when I raise it up with weight on the rear it jumps bad. The manual says it is a check valve so I took it back apart. How many check valves are there and how do I get them out of the block. I got part of one out and I think there is more to it but I don't know how to get it out. Thanks for any help

Have you bled the system and have you cycled the levers several times. Mite need to remove the filler plug carefull to release the air.

Yes I bled the system and had all the air out. Today I drained the oil and removed it from the tractor and took it apart on the bench. I took part of the one check valve out but it looks like there is more to it down in and I am not sure how it comes out.

When I took mine apart I bought one of those backwards pliers the provides internal force instead of external force. Got it at a auto parts store I think. With those pliers I was able to grab those valve parts internally and pull them out. There are a lot of pieces in those valves that have to go back together exactly like they came apart. A manual is a must and even then I laid the parts out in order so I could get them back together in the same order. On one of my tractors (think it was the Super C) someone had assembled one of the valves wrong, so can't count on it being assembled correctly to begin with. Roger
