Which one is it 15-30 or 22-36

Dad and I just bought an old McCormick Deering but we are not sure what we have. The serial number tag on the fuel tank support is pretty much destroyed. I found an engine SN 110080 on the right front of the block. It has a Robin S45 carb. There is a casting number on the main casting 758-D. Can anybody help with year and model?

you can find the year, month and date by crawling under it and looking at cast under flywheel. easiest thing is if it has water pump its 22-36, 15-30 had none. 22-36 also have oil filter, larger bore and more rpm. this is a few of the change ups from 15-30.

(quoted from post at 22:54:38 08/12/13) he said his tag was destroyed.

I know, I read that, but why repeat what you said about the water pump.

he has an engine serial so that's why I put it on there

It has a water pump so I guess that makes it a 22-36. I don't get the TG reference in front of the engine SN. Mine doesn't have a TG in front. Any ideas on the year?

The serial number prefix "TG" was only used on the serial number tag, not on the engine block,

Serial number 110080 was made in March of 1929.

Assuming you have the original engine, ( serial number and engine numbers match) The tractor was made in March of 29.
The 15-30 and the 22-36 had a TG prefix on the tag. The serial number that should be on your tag should have read TG110080M.

All the tractors had a prefix to designate the model within the serial "number". For instance the Industrial 10-20 had a IN prefix, the 10-20 farm tractor was KC, and the narrow tread 10-20 was NT.

nope. first two years of the model 20 industrial had serial numbers and prefixes that ran concurrent with the Ag tractor, therefor having a KC prefix. Stop over Friday and ill show you one Brian....lol

model 20's had 4 prefixes throughout production.
KC, IND, IN and SIN
