IH 384 rear hydrolic lift

I have a 384 with a front loader. I can no longer control, the rear lift. It rides up at higher rpms and will not drop when I lower the control arm. The isolator valve seems to be ok. The arms will drop if I have a heavy implement on or when I shut the engine off or the pump is at a very low rpm. any ideas? Thanks, Chig

H Chig, make sure the draft control lever is all the way forward. Draft control should only be used with 3pt implements like plows and cultivators that are trying to keep a constant depth in the ground. Also there is a spring and actuating plunger where the 3pt top link connects to hydraulic hosing. The plunger should go out and in with depth control lever and 3pt top link connection should not be loose.

Thanks Jim: We have tried the draft control lever and the plunger works ok. Got the lid off the box (under the seat now and looking for some linkage problems internally. No luck.

Isolator control valve? Inside the case is badly worn, replaced and reassembling. Hope problem solved, will now tomorrow.
