460 utility question

Hi all,

This my first time posting in here. I have an International 460 utility (gas). We are currently fixing all the little things that have gone wrong over the past few years. My question, on the carburetor should there be a hose running from the air intake to the tractor or an air filter? When I bought the tractor there was an air filter on it, so I just left it alone.

the tractor came with an oil bath air cleaner, so it must have been changed over. not sure what you mean by hose. if your talking about the air intake hose then yes that's a must whether it is air or oil bath. the engine wont last long without filtered air.

Thank you for the reply. Right now there is an old air filter on which i presume to be the an air intake on the carburetor. There is no air cleaner on the tractor. The problem I am running into is matching up the filter that's on there now with a new one. any suggestion?

In the diagram, part # 14 [short hose] will connect to your carburetor with part # 13 [clamp].

My I-460 has a rectangular oil bath pan. Glad to see you posted and don't be afraid to post back with other ?'s and results. Good luck with your project.
