I just bought this "Balanced Head" 6' Mower, no Model #, but cannot figure out how the bar lifts. At 1st, I thought it used a Hyd. Cyl. but not so sure now. Maybe a Cable system? Anybody got any pic's?
Thanks.

chain or cable hooks to tractor drawbar then to bell crank but it looks like your missing a rod that goes from the bracket down to the head. I've got a cylinder instead of the rod on mine to pick up bar.

toy guy, Where is it that you put the cylinder? That mower is nearly like my 1300,7ft. had the cable and pulley, that was worn out. Would like to add hydraulics to mine just unsure of how others have handled theirs. gobble

You have a #100 mower. Yahoo IH 100 mower and there are many pictures. You may get enough lift by running a chain from crank arm on mower to drawbar plate below pto.

tomturkey, chain the crank to the mower then I just pinned the cylinder where the rod fastned at the top. You have to make a plate at the bottom with a notch so it will not bind up on the bar. It also pins where the rod did. works good, mow up to a post raise straight up let back down after you clear. you also need to put restricters in lines because it will raise and lower to fast which is hard on bar.
