Has anyone ever rebuilt a touch control unit? I know you can do they make a kit for the rebuild?
I would like to order just a rebuild kit and not have to order it piece by piece.
Iam still having trouble with my IH-1000 loader on my Super A. It can only lift the bucket half full of dirt about 2 foot off the ground. All fluids are fine. It just doesn't have the lift capacity and I am thinking I should just rebuild the touch control unit. My farmall 100 with the IH-loader has no trouble picking up a full bucket of dirt to almost full lift height.
Do you think it is the touch control or possibly the loader hyd spool controls? The pump did get hot when I had previous problems and I had to replace the shaft seal could the pump be the problem? where should I start?
 
I'd rebuild the cyls first, The packing kits are cheap , and they are the problem 90% of the time . The rubber and plastic parts inside wear out, letting the hyd pressure leak past them. Even if they don.t leak externally , they can be worn and leaking/bypassing inside....
 
seal could be leaking again if the shaft had a worn spot where he seal goes. Check the engine oil. You can remove the plug on the pressure side where it flows into the rockshaft housing and put as pressure guage to see how much pressure the pump has.
 
Which plug are we talking about gene? There are three plugs on the lines that mount to the touch control. the one farthest back has a line that goes to the loader spool. there is one towards the fornt of the tractory but I am sure I wont get it out I had a hard time getting the other one out. There is also a 1/8" pipe plug between them that I can get out. which one gets the gage? I have a gage to test so I just need to know which one to pull.

I will check the cylinder I think I can lift the buck up till it wont go anymore then if the bucket picks up more with the front tilt cyclinder I would say that the boom lift cylinder is bad?
