dhave a farmall 666with brandnew clutch assembly afterabout 10 hrs of operation t/a stillworks butwill not stay on low side only if held by hand i asked the mechanic he replied it worked when it left here could someone please help me thanks Doug

The linkage and bushings in the TA lever and cable controls to the valving come apart. or wear. Go their first. A snap ring is often worked out of its groove. Jim

Then you have dealt with a pizz poor wrench holder . The T/A on a 666 is the old style mechanical and to some the setting is hard for them to get wright due to age of tractor and normal ware . Your problem could be as simple as the one bolt on the linkage slipped or it was not adjusted correctly from the get go. Your wrench holder should have been out there before you got the phone put down to see why this was happening as he should stand behind his work. and not give you a smart arres answer.

Like Vet said, adjustment or wear in adjustment mechanism. The lever goes slightly over center in low position and stays there. I have seen the lever come loose from shaft. Not enough to come off but enough to slip forward a little and then it will not go over center.
