my 1586 quit moving after about 20 acres of plowing and it stopped suddenly, like i pushed the clutch. could this be a worn out mcv pump? or could of it blown a o ring in there somewhere?

oh i forgot to say i let it sit overnight and tried it again, it worked good for about 5 mins and it did the same just stopped...

The drive in TA (lever back) is stricly mechanical with only a hydraulic lockup clutch to prevent free wheeling. So, this means your TA is shot for openers. If it was mcv pump alone your steering would be very poor or quit also. You most likely have severe leakage in TA unit also which is why it works cold, not warmed up. Possible your TA has been bad for a long time on low side and you never used it, and now the pump went or blew gaskets and o-ring in mcv but like I said, power steering would also be bad if pump.

figured the ta unit was shot i just always left it in dd. so would a whole new mcv n pump fix all but the bad ta? cause thats a job in itself to get to and fix....

You're not going to get away without replacing the TA too. Low side is definitely shot, and when the low side goes the high side isn't far behind on these hydraulic TAs.
