Change Super A Battery

What is the best way to remove the battery from a Super A? It looks like you have to take pieces apart to get it out either way. Is there a trick to it?

It"s a bit of a pain. Take off top, remove the starter lever, remove the side of the box on the drivers side, you also need to push the clutch in as you remove the battery.

yup - no trick to it. It's just a poor design.

If it is an early Farmall Super A there is no separate side to the battery box, you have to undo the two bolts holding the battery box to the instrument cluster, undo the four bolts holding the battery box to the frame, remove the starter pull rod and the right-hand side touch-control rod, then holding the clutch pedal forward, slide the whole box out. Whoever designed that layout should have be dealt with at birth.
