Farmall 100

I am thinking about buying at a Farmall model 100 and don"t know anything about a "fast hitch". Is it similar to a 3pth or will it handle only items made for this make and model?
Thanks in advance for any responses.

I've got a 300 model that takes the "fast hitch" and if you plan on using it you will most likely have to buy a pair of bean couplings so you can use all your other stuff. They can be found, but they do cost a bit.

There is a kit available that will adapt the 2 point fast hitch so that it can be used with 3 point equipment. The kit consists of two adapters that slide into the fast hitch lift arms, and the necessary brackets to install the center link. It does include the center link. The kit is not inexpensive, but it is less costly than a complete 3 point hitch conversion, and just as effective. The last time I looked the adapter kits were back ordered, but still available.

the 100 would have the 1 point fast hitch. 3pt will not work on any fast hitch equipped tractor without an adapter, and i've never seen an adapter from 1pt fast hitch to 3pt. all the adapters were for 2pt fh to 3pt. i suppose you could build one for a 1 point, but i would question how well it would stand up to the twisting and bending of using it..

cityconvert: One point fast hitch was designed for using one point fast hitch equipment only, and can be used as a drawbar. It's very easy to build a 3 point hitch kit for one point fast hitch. I have these for my 130 and 140 and the design I use allows me to switch from 1 point fast hitch to 3 point hitch or vice versa in less than 5 minutes and without the use of wrenches.

I like my 3 point hitch equipment, however you'll never get me away from one point fast hitch for plowing with these little tractors. you'll probably never get me away from the dozen other one point fast hitch implements I have either. Problem is the industry no longer build one point fast hitch implements, thus we must compromise. Send me an e mail, I have some photos I'll send you.

Hi Hugh; Can you send me some pictures of your 3 point conversion kit for a Farmall 140? Mine used to have a single point hitch but it is no longer available. The hydraulics are there, both of them and are working fine. I Have a planter a fertilizer distributor on it now. I want to be able to pull a scrape blade and a 5 ft disc. thanks OB. If possible send them to my email address
[email protected].

Thanks OB

Hugh passed away a couple years ago, but as luck would have it, I do have a couple of pictures of his 3pt hitch conversion here somewhere.
