Is there any reason to have 600 X 16 tires on an H??? The original tires were 5.50X16 according to the specs.

The 6.00 or 6.50 sometimes looks more balanced with the larger rear tires that many Hs have now. I like the bigger sizes better but I agree that anything that will fit is good enough. A little more floatation can theoretically be had from a wider tire but I do not know how much difference it really makes.

We have a set of 7.50 x 15 tires on the front of our H. We adapted a pair of automotive rims.
We have really soft ground in the winter and wanted more floatation.

If you want it to look original, put on 5.50-16's. That's what they came with and look right with 12.4-38 (11-38) rear tires....(10-38's on the earlier ones). I personally think oversize front or rear tires take away the "balanced" look of most tractors. But, hey, it's your's...whatever....
