I put together this slide show of the restoration of our 1941 Farmall H. This was my Grandpa's tractor and now belongs to my dad. The restoration took about a year and was completed in July 2005.

Looks great, but reinforce what Jim said. Many people have gotten killed setting things on concrete blocks. The sharp edge of the steel will shatter them.

Great job! I noticed in some pictures it looks like there is a live hyd pump, but in the final pictures I don't see it. Did you eliminate the pump or was I seeing things?

Eventually we would like to add the live pump and a 3 pt hitch. We have a spare belly pump that had a bad pump in it to use as a reservior. For extra oil capacity we have a spare starting gas tank that could be converted to an oil reservior/fill tank for the hydraulic system. Our problem here is we get side tracked with other projects.

Here are some pics of the 3pt mock up so far.

GP Hansen,

Here are some instructions for posting photos. One must be a registered user to post pics. If you are not, then you can do that by clicking on "Modern View", then on "Register" in upper right side of Modern View screen.

Took me a long time to figure it out - so I feel compelled to help others.

Great restoration. Solid workmanship.
A safety comment (I must make) don't lay concrete blocks on their sides, and generally don't use them at all for point loaded support.
The principal where I taught High School was killed by collapsing blocks under a 65 Pontiac Starchief. They give no warning they just powder. Jim

Excellent job to all 3 of you! "Bermuda" Ken Updike can get you an IH specs reproduced battery box. 608-455-2411.

Quoting Removed, click Modern View to see
We have an IH battery box, but like our Minneapolis moline inspired battery box. Its a lot easier to deal with the battery. We can alway's go back to stock if needed.
