set timing on a cub

Can anyone help with how to set the timing on a cub with a mag???? thanks

Need a little more info.
How far was it taken apart?
Has ahe govener been off?
Or just the mag?
When I rebuild them - I use whiteout to help see the timming marks.

If you havent removed the mag and it runs there is no setting of the timing for advance the mag will go to advance when the engine starts as the engine does start on TDC. If you havent removed it and it starts and runs there is no need to mess with it.
