37 F-20 cylinder head

Just curious how much a decent cylinder head for a 1937 F-20 should run? I am no where near being ready for it but if I find one locally I might be tempted to purchase one. Thanks.

I know of several places where you can get remanufactered heads for $450.00 with your head in exchange, If your head is not cracked find a good manchine shop and have them rebuild your old head.

Had mine rebuilt at a local shop that does work with older tractors. Re-bushed the valve guides, ground the valves, skin cut the gasket side. Cost around $320, if I recall right.

About an hour and a half away from Charleston. I'm between Springfield and Decatur. Several years ago My dad, brother, and I decided we were going to get this tractor running. My brother was taking an ag mechanics class and decided he could grind the valves and seats. He ground way too much out on one of the seats so the head is basically junk. I have at least two tractors to get running first but I am thinking about getting this one running and want to start thinking about getting another head for it.

its not junk, it needs valve seat inserts put in, A good engine shop can do that easy and then cut them for you
