I have a 1944 farmall b it always ran great but one day i noticed that the fule line fiting on the elbow that goes into the carborator was leaking bad so i replaced it with a elbow line off a old wisconsin v4 engine. i made shure that the elbow was clean and was geting good flow but when i start the tractor it runs good for about 2 minutes and starts to acelarate then then idle then acelarate again then it just dies i have looked thrue the gas line ant the carorator and cant figure out why it it keeps on dieing.

THe fuel fitting changes may have disturbed flakes of rust or dirt. Pulling the float bowl off and cleaning it, and making sure that the float lets in a nice stream of fuel (catch it in a can) should help. Jim
