Disc for 706

I know from experience that it will pull a heavy Allis Chalmers 14 footer with no problems....Hills , clay , didnt matter it handled it just fine.

Yes, a 14 foot disk will be just about right.

Probably is bunches of them out there. Worst part is that most of them will be flat worn out.

Find a I H 370 13.6 footer . Now not knowing your tire size here but a set of direct axle mount duals will help a bunch Pulled one of them with my 706's for years. First high with the T/A ahead . Did not really know it was back there.

oh we used to get in trouble for that, the elders would say put that back in 4L and quit slinging that dirt everywhere. We had a 10 foot disk for the 706 back then, she would really go.

Tractor Vet...I'll probably be calling on you in the next few months as your no doubt the 706 Guru on this board...she's a 1965 with 263 gas, 3 point, good torque, 16.9X 34 rear rubber..good sheet metal with big nice fenders...I'm looking forward to it..and I know you say always use 93 octane gas...whats a few pennies when gas is 4 bucks anyway?? Thanks in advance

when ya can swing it put a set of 18.4 x34 Fire Stone radials on her ya can not believe how much better it makes it and then add the axle mount duals , i say axle mounts because with the clam on ya stand a real good chance of poppen the mounting bolts that hold the clamps to the axle if you try and run equal pressure in the duals. By dualing her up you will save fuel and work her a lot less.

Swing by the gas station and buy a barrel of gas. I tried mold board plowing with our 706 gas, and twenty gallons of gas was gone in about 45 minutes pulling 4 bottoms. At 3.90 a gallon thats 100 dollars an hour to plow a field. wouldnt want to do that for 8 hours.

I can't see how you could get 20 gallons of gas through a 706 in less than an hour...it would have to foul the plugs and smoke black like crazy...maybe 10 but not 20. I would guess normal might be 5-6 gallons an hour pulling hard.
