I have a late model farmall 656 diesel with a fast hitch. The lift works fine and is strong but I have to hold the position lever or it goes down. The earlier 656 on cih parts shows a friction disc but the later serial tractors do not. Does anyone have any experience with this? Position of draft control has no effect. I ususally run it all the way foward. thanks

Yours , if late model, would be easier to set than the earlier one. It will have a clamp type friction control with a bolt with 1/2 inch head to just tighten down right by the lever pivot.
