Check Hydraulic Fluid on 1948 H

How do I know if the hydraulic fluid is at the proper level on my 1948 H? Is there a location to check fluid levels?

The system takes 6 quarts. it should be about 7 inches below the top of the filler neck pipe. There was a dip stick on a washer under the cap, it may be in the reservoir now. Leaave it there. Jim

On an H I always remember it s 666. In other words, 6 qts in the motor, 6 qts in the Lift-All, and 6 gallons in the rear-end. Gets you in the nieghborhood anyway....

You can fill the lift-all right up to the brim if you want and it won't hurt a thing.
