tel-a-depth adjustment

Gentlemen,
I am restoring a 560 with tel-a-depth. went through all valves etc replaced all o rings and any other deficient part.
Problem;I can lift hitch no problem ,however, to lower I have to manipulate linkage manually.( Disconect linkage and push lever on valve back manually much farther then linkage will allow)
Can any one shed any light on my problem .I have the blue ribbon manual but it does not help me so far.

You do not have the linkage oriented properly or gears not timed correctly inside valve. I bet when you raise hitch hydraulics are staying under pressure also. Move output lever on valve to a mid point of hitch movement, stop engine and that is approx where the linkage have to make connections. There are several minor adjustment that need to be done but this is a starting point and you may very well have to retime them gears.
